Data Needs to be Free
It's Your Data - You Need to Own It and Control It
The data contained in the millions of documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, slide shows, and other files is the lifeblood of your organization. This data is the organizational memory, the core to its structure, the center of your intellectual property. In short - your data is incredibly valuable to you and your organization. Which raises the question - why trust your data, all that value, to proprietary hardware or data formats - or both?
Heterogeneous Hardware, Heterogeneous Data
The heterogeneous nature of Twisted Storage is about more than hardware and operating systems, it is also about your data. Twisted Storage indexes each file's metadata and text content at ingestion as part of the store process. But Twisted Storage does not need to convert the file nor does it need to store the data in any particular format - storage is completely heterogeneous.
Your Data, Your Format, Your Structure
Twisted Storage gives you control of your data. You decide whether to store it in its native format. Or, you could convert it during ingestion to store it in one or more different formats which will each be retrieved based on your policy-based workflows.
Data can be moved off of the Twisted Storage system or between systems because it is in the format of your choice and because it is not locked into the format, protocol, or hardware of the Twisted Storage system.
